ksa team 2022-2023
Co-President:
Collin Jung Hi, I’m Collin and I’m a co-president for KSA. I decided to get involved with a leadership position because I’ve made so many friendships and memories throughout my time in KSA and wanted to give back to the community. Outside of KSA, I’m studying Computer Science and playing violin! I was recently concertmaster for Stanford Phil and am taking lessons now so come chat if you’re interested in music! |
Culture Co-Chair:
Tayne Kim I'm from Seoul, Korea, and I joined KSA my sophomore year to get to know more of the Korean community. I decided to take on a bigger role as culture chair this year! I'm looking forward to trying to promote Korean culture to the rest of campus. I love playing basketball and other miscellaneous sports in my free time. |
Culture Co-Chair:
Jeenah Gwak Hi! I’m Jeenah and I joined KSA to get to know more of the Korean community. I’m one of the cultural chairs and I help plan fun events! In my free time I’m a powerlifter & I play piano! |
Social Co-Chair:
Aaron Jin Hey guys, I'm Aaron! I love hanging out with people at KSA, and Korean culture means a lot to me. In my free time, I tend to nap, play poker, or go to the gym. |
Social Co-Chair:
Andrew Park Hey everyone! I'm Andrew, and I am from Seoul, South Korea. I joined KSA to seek for opportunities to be involved in various events of my own culture. In my free time, I watch tv shows, talk to my cats over call, and look for fashion inspo. |
Publicity Chair:
Soorim Lee Hi! I am Soo Rim (Hannah) Lee. I am a junior majoring in Economics and minoring in Data Science. I joined KSA to connect with other people who are also interested in Korean culture. My favorite banchan is 계란말이, or Korean egg roll. I like to eat (always looking for good restaurants and dessert places), play golf, and visit art exhibitions. |
Communications Chair:
Tayne Kim My name is Tayne (태인)! I was born in the US (I was born at the Stanford Hospital, so kind of full circle), but moved back to Korea when I was little and lived there most my life. I joined KSA to meet new people and try to help build the Korean community here at Stanford. I'm a biology major (but not premed, I swear), and like playing basketball in my free time. |
Core Member:
Christina Joo I joined KSA my freshman year because I wanted Korean friends! I was recently on the varsity lightweight rowing team and have gotten back into painting this year. My favorite Korean food is 감자탕. |
Core Member:
Jin-Hee Lee Hello! I'm Jin-Hee (진희), and I’m a senior double majoring in SymSys (HCI) and Music (Voice). On campus, I sing in different things like opera, choir, theater, and a cappella — if you need someone, I will always be the friend who goes to the 노래방 and belts out 태연 or Ailee with you!!! When I was little, my grandma called me 떡순이 because I consumed such an alarming volume of 떡, in literally any form. I will end with that fact |
Core Member:
Lauren Yu Hi! I'm Lauren and I'm a prospective CS major here at Stanford. As a Korean American who's always struggled with learning the language, I joined KSA as a way to learn more about and remain in touch with my culture while I'm away from home. My favorite banchan is 오이무침, or cucumber salad, and I'm honestly not mad about the quality of Arillaga's kimchi. I hope to spend the rest of my time at Stanford and KSA being creative, especially through digital art, public speaking, and event organization! |
